Virginia Iota Chapter of Sigma Phi
Epsilon Fraternity
James Madison
University
2013 Balanced Man Scholarship
Dear Incoming James Madison University Student,
The
Brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and members of the Alumni Volunteer
Corporation congratulate you on your acceptance to James Madison University!
Your acceptance suggests that you share the same skills and abilities of those
who have flourished here at this great university.
Students at JMU who strive for academic excellence, seek out leadership opportunities, establish and maintain social relationships, and aim to lead a healthy lifestyle are those who find happiness and success. These ideals are consistent with our fraternity's Balanced Man Ideal: the simultaneous pursuit of a Sound Mind and Sound Body.
Each year, we seek to recognize young men who already follow the ideals of a balanced life while striving for excellence. This year, we are awarding three Balanced Man Scholarships in the amounts of $1000, $500 and $250 to incoming male freshmen. To qualify, you must be an incoming male freshman at James Madison University for 2013-2014 and return the attached application.
A committee of both alumni and undergraduate
members evaluate applications for the Balanced Man Scholarship. Neither the
application nor the award of a scholarship obligates you to join the
Brotherhood of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. The application will be due by TBD.
Should you have any questions concerning the Balanced Man Scholarship,
please contact our Balanced Man Chairman TBD at TBD, VP of Recruitment, Dan Hostetter at (717) 405-2093 or email us at TBD.
Enjoy your summer and congratulations on becoming
a JMU Duke. We hope to hear from
you soon.
Sincerely,
Dan Hostetter
